Forever Plaid, California Musical Theatre (The Cosmopolitan Cabaret)
Review: Attended the 10/26 7:30pm performance. This was our first trip the Cosmopolitan Cabaret since it opened in September. I absolutely loved the venue. It is quaint, intimate and perfect for a show like this. Forever Plaid is one of my favorites and I was excited to see it done professionally. And this production did NOT disappoint! The cast was exceptional. The production was directed by Guy Stroman who was the original Frankie when the show opened off-Broadway in 1990. He brought a lot of the subtle nuances to the show that make it so much to watch. These four guys sang their hearts out for 90 minutes and never missed a beat.
The audience was completely captivated by their amazing harmonies and talent. The sets, lights, props, costumes and cast all meshed together perfectly to create a thoroughly enjoyable evening. My only complaint is that the bar service was supposed to end 10 minutes before the show and 45 minutes into it they were still serving and collecting. That aside, the evening was terrific! If you have never seen Plaid or if you have seen it before, get your tickets now. You'll be glad you did.

Review: A Walk down memory lane......the songs were not only excellent they were sung by an 'over the top' cast of non stop energy and talent. Not only can those four men sing, they can act and make you laugh and cry all at the same time. This show keeps you riveted and is one of the most fun musical comedies we have ever seen. Seeing the Perry Como tribute and The Ed Sullivan show sequence is more than worth the price of admission. This show closes in February so if you are looking for the best Christmas gift you could ever give, be sure and buy the tickets now. It will not disappoint. Believe me, if you want to impress a date or treat your parents or friends to a great night of fun, this is the play to see.

Review: We thoroughly enjoyed the show. My son and his family came up from the Bay Area and were very impressed with the theater. They really liked the smaller theater atmosphere. We're all looking forward to your next show.
Review: We were impressed with the venue--it was comfortable and a delightful surprise--we did not know this complex existed until we got tickets for the show. The show sparkled, moved rapidly--took you down a few trips on memory lane--left the audience feeling very upbeat. Well done.
