The Studio Theatre, home to Sacramento's longest-running musical review SIX WOMEN WITH BRAIN DEATH, became Sacramento's newest Equity theatre company this year, joining the B Street Theatre, California Musical Theatre, Capital Stage and the Sacramento Theatre Company.
The first production under our new professional status was the regional premiere of Nathan Sander's THE SUGAR BEAN SISTERS.

This offbeat story of romance, murder and alien abduction was nominated for an Oppenheimer Award and New York Newsday called it "the most impressive debut of a new American playwright."
